Get Glowing with HALO®

Lights, camera, action! You don’t have to be a supermodel to glow like one. Now, you can restore a healthy glow and youthfulness to your skin with HALO—Sciton’s first and most popular hybrid fractional laser for all skin types. Before HALO, patients had to choose between an ablative or non-ablative treatment. While ablative treatments are more invasive and typically require a longer downtime, non-ablative treatments may not be as effective as some patients would like. HALO combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to offer remarkable results with minimal downtime. Strut into the spotlight confident in your HALO glow!

The Sciton HALO® laser is an ultramodern laser treatment like none other. The HALO® treats wrinkles, fine lines, texture, and the tone of the skin using dual laser technology. The HALO laser works in multiple layers of your skin to stimulate a deep healing response, leading to smoother, more vibrant skin. In our view, the HALO is the best way to get dramatic changes in the appearance of your facial skin with a minimal amount of downtime.

How HALO Works

The HALO Laser, by Sciton, is a cosmetic treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin. The HALO precisely heats skin causing microscopic injuries to skin cells. The HALO laser uses two different wavelengths of laser light to target damaged skin cells both on and beneath the surface of the skin. The use of two wavelengths is key to the effectiveness of the HALO. Most laser skin treatments only use one wavelength. With the two HALO wavelengths, an ideal depth of treatment and cell targeting occurs. The two lasers eliminate unwanted skin cells and stimulate a natural healing response, resulting in new cells and collagen. The effect is smoother, more radiant skin.

What to Expect After HALO

Our advanced aesthetician will provide you with the care and knowledge you need to have a comfortable and rapid recovery from your HALO treatment. Expect to be red and slightly sore for a few days. You’ll apply moisturizer and sunscreen for a couple weeks. You’ll experience sluffing of microscopic necrotic cells and unwanted pigment from your skin about four to seven days after your HALO treatment. This is a good thing, as it makes way for new, healthy cells and collagen production. You’ll avoid prolonged sun exposure for the first two weeks after your HALO laser treatment.

How Many Treatments Will You Need?

Each patient’s treatment program is customized to their unique skin quality and goals. The HALO laser is a power treatment method, so even one session will give you a nice improvement. However, depending on your aesthetic goals, you may benefit from multiple HALO treatments spaced four to six weeks apart.

How Long Will Your Results Last?

HALO laser can produce improvements that last for years, but to do so a maintenance skin care program is advised. To prolong your results, you should apply sunscreen daily and follow a medical-grade skincare regimen. Also, it is often beneficial to repeat the HALO laser treatment every year or two. No treatment can stop skin aging with a single session. The most successful patients keep youthful skin over many years by staying proactive with well applied technologies and products. The HALO laser can be an integral part of your long-term skin health and beauty program.

Can Your HALO Treatment Be Combined with Other Laser-Type Treatments?

Yes. Often the very best results are achieved with a “multi-modality” approach. Sciton HERO Broad Band Light (BBL) treatments are often very complimentary to HALO treatments. Sciton BBL will target additional irregularly pigmented areas that can be missed by the HALO. Also, the Sciton vascular laser can target vascular lesions that the HALO does not affect. During your consultation and skin analysis, all the options available to give you the best rejuvenation will be discussed.
