The Non-Surgical Option for Breast Implant Correction
The Aspen System is an innovative new non-surgical approach to treat capsular contracture. The system utilizes a combination of custom technology and specialized rehabilitation techniques to treat women suffering with capsular contracture. Connall Cosmetic Surgery is the only facility in the western U.S. offering this non-surgical treatment option.
Hard breast implants? Misshaped breasts? Uneven breasts? Painful breast implants? You may have capsular contracture.
Capsular contracture is a condition that may affect women who undergo breast augmentation or breast reconstruction. It is a hardening and constriction of the scar tissue that forms around a breast implant. In severe cases, capsular contracture can create a painful, misshaped, or oddly positioned breast implant.
The Aspen System is Unique
All aspects of the Aspen System have been designed specifically for the treatment of capsular contracture. The first step is to “soften” the scar capsule by applying the Aspen System device to the outside of the affected breast during a treatment. The Aspen System device is a unique, computer-controlled, technology that is unlike any other therapy device that may be found in other doctor’s offices and therapy clinics.
Hands-on therapies are the next step. Our specially trained staff performs special massage techniques and teaches the patient exercises and personal massage maneuvers to stretch the capsule and reposition the implant. The final step is “splinting” the breast implant. This involves wrapping the breasts with a special bandaging technique.
Connall Cosmetic Surgery is the only certified Aspen System facility in the western U.S. We will treat you with the only device technology designed to treat capsular contracture and educate you on how to properly perform the right type of massages, wear the right type of compression bandage, and even show you exercises to help prevent capsular hardening.
Surgical Expertise Too
The Aspen System has been used on over 850 patients world-wide. The success rate exceeds 90% in mild to moderate cases. So, if your capsular contracture is moderate and recent then a non-surgical approach is worth trying. However, sometimes surgery will be needed to treat capsular contracture. Dr. Connall has years of experience treating capsular contractures surgically and uses the latest and most effective surgical techniques to treat this problem when necessary. All of these options will be discussed when you have a detailed consultation with Dr. Connall.
