Though most of our patients recover in their own home the night after surgery, some choose to spend their first night in the Rest and Recovery Center at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. There, you will have a private room in a beautiful section of the hospital. The comforting and expert nursing care and the entire support that a hospital provides will ease your mind and body.
Spending your first night in this special section of the hospital provides you with optimal comfort and safety and frees your family from the sometimes stressful task of nursing you through your first night. For some lengthy procedures such as facial rejuvenation, tummy tuck and body lift we highly recommend that patients recover in the Rest and Recovery Center. For less complex procedures, our patients sometimes choose to go to Rest and Recovery simply to ease their mind and pamper themselves.
The Rest and Recovery Center is designed for plastic surgery patients and is the only unit of its kind in the Portland metro area. Our facilities are less than a mile from the Rest and Recovery Center, making our surgery center one of the closest of any in Portland. After patients complete their post-operative recovery at the Meridian Center for Surgical Excellence, they are transported “bedside-to-bedside” in a wheelchair by Metro West Ambulance services.
We are pleased to offer this outstanding service to our patients and find it another special feature that we offer to optimize the safety, comfort and peace of mind of our patients after surgery.
